I am a proud graduate of Henderson High School. I attended school in Henderson kindergarten-12th grade. While I was in school I was involved in volleyball, basketball, softball and choir.
After graduating from Henderson, I went straight to Sam Houston State University where I got my degree in Education. Currently I am working on becoming National Board Certified and look forward to continuing my education.
I got the opportunity to join Overton Elementary in 2020 as the Dyslexia Teacher and RtI (Response to Intervention) Coordinator. I had not been in either one of these positions before so I have had the priviledge to learn so many new things. I am always challenging myself to learn new skills and to become the best I can be in any position that I am in.
I began my teaching career in at (Mayde Creek Elementary). I taught and
I then helped opened a new school (Stanley Elementary) also in Katy ISD. There I taught
In the summer of 2010 my husband had a job opportunity that would bring us back to Henderson. I then started working at teaching where I taught until the spring of 2020.
My husband, Josh, and I have been together since high school.
In 2010 we had our first son, Wyatt. Wyatt is very smart and LOVES baseball. This is a picture of him with a ring that he helped a team win during the World Series in Longview. He is such a big help at home and is able to do his own laundry and cook. He loves to learn new things and how things work. I think when he grows up he will be some kind of engineer (like his dad) but only time will tell.
In 2014 we had our second son, Walker. Walker is a very special little boy. He was diagnosed with Spina Bifida when I was 24 weeks pregnant with him. Both he and I underwent fetal surgery to repair his spine. We were not sure if he would be able to walk, but God has blessed this little guy because he is walking and running everywhere. He also has quite the personality. And just a little fun fact, we had picked out the name Walker when we were about 16 weeks pregnant. Not knowing that he would have Spina Bifida at that time. God knew “Walker” would be a “walker”.
Another huge part of my family is all my nieces (Alani and Millie Kate) and my nephew (Isaiah). Every summer for the last 2 years I have hosted “Corky Camp”. All the cousins come to Henderson and get to spend about a week together. It is one of the highlights of my whole year.
Hi Mustang Family! My name is Courtney Mosley and this will be my second year at Overton. I LOVE being a Mustang! I graduated from Sam Houston State University in December of 2006 and have been teaching ever since. Teaching is a passion that I have had since I was a little girl and I am so glad that God chose me to touch the lives of children in the area of education.
I have been married to my husband Josh for 14 years and we have two boys. Wyatt, who is 10 and going into 5th grade, and Walker, who is 6 and will be going into 1st grade. They both go to school at Overton as well! As a family, we love spending time together at the ball fields. We enjoy watching Lone Star Law in the evenings as a family to wind down.
I look forward to working with your children!
