Graduation Requirements
Students have the opportunity to graduate under three different plans: the Minimum Program, the State Board of Education Recommended High School Program, and the Distinguished Achievement Program. Each of these programs requires 24 units of credit for graduation with specific courses or measures listed for each plan.
Under the minimum program, students are required to have 24 credits as follows to graduate: English (4), Mathematics (3), Science (3), Social Studies (4), Fine Arts (1/2), Communication Applications (1/2), Computer Technology Applications (1), Physical Education (1 1/2), Health (1/2), and electives (6). For all students, the graduation requirements are determined by the year the student enters the ninth grade. This applies to transfer students as well as regularly enrolled students.
