Overton Elementary is a Recognized Campus
To achieve a recognized rating requires meeting a standard of 80 percent or higher on TAKS tests for each subject and student group.
The (AYP) Adequate Yearly Progress report is the federal accountability system that measures school district standardized test passing rates, graduation rates and attendance rates was posted and Overton ISD PASSED.
Our goal is for all students to be challenged and to show academic growth. Our students showed growth on all campuses. Thank you to all of our students, teachers, staff, and parents for all their hard work.

We are committed to the success of our students; and through the dedication and teamwork of parents, teachers, community members, administrators, and most importantly our students, success will be attained. I also welcome the chance to personally reaffirm OISD's commitment to continuous progress and meeting future challenges through the implementation of the goals and reform strategies as set forth by the Board of Education.
As Superintendent of Schools I am determined to preserve the public's faith in our ability to educate Overton ISD's children efficiently and effectively and to do so with credibility and integrity.
