Overton ISD students, employees, and parents may have been exposed to Pertussis over the last week.  A diagnosis of Pertussis was given to a person who has been on all three campuses within the last several days.  Please read the attached letter and article for information concerning prevention, treatment, and special concerns of Pertussis.   All students at OISD are currently up to date on all required immunizations and it is rare to contract the illness if vaccines are up to date, but if symptoms occur, a doctor's visit should be scheduled.

Overton ISD's District of Innovation Committee approved the final draft of the District of Innovation Plan.  The plan will remain posted on the website through April 11 at which time the OISD Board of Trustees will vote whether or not to submit the plan to the Texas Education Agency.
