Board of Trustees Meeting Summary
August 27, 2007
The Overton ISD Board of trustees met for two special meetings on Monday, August 27. The following items of business were transacted.
-
- Budget amendments for the 2006-2007 school year were proposed and approved by the Board.
- The budget for the 2007-2008 school year was approved.
- A resolution was passed to set the Maintenance and Operations tax rate at $1.04/ $100 valuation and the Interest and Sinking tax rate of $.15/$100 valuation for a total tax rate $1.19/$100 valuation.
- Cassie Bayless was employed as a secondary art teacher for the 2007-2008 school year.
The first meeting was a public hearing to receive input on the proposed budget and tax rate resolution for the 2007-2008. No individuals spoke during the public hearing.
