REGULAR BOARD MEETING DECEMBER 12 , 2006
The Overton ISD Board of Trustees met for regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, December 12. The following items of business were transacted:
The minutes of the November 14, 2006 meeting were read and approved
- The agenda for the meeting was certified
- The checks written in the month of November were reviewed
- The elementary and secondary principal’s reports were presented
- The Annual Financial report was reviewed by the Board and approved
- Dr. Stretcher reported on the District Site Based Decision Making Committee Meeting that was held on Tuesday, December 12.
- Dr. Stretcher reported on the progress of the building project. The Board was apprised of the classroom assignments for the second semester of school. The demolition of the existing junior high building will begin on Monday, December 18.
- The Board approved the superintendent evaluation instrument and set timelines for their return.
- The resignation of diagnostician Sandra Hale was accepted. The resignation will be effective at the end of the first semester.
- The resignation of High School principal Jim Fenton was accepted. The resignation will be effective at the end of the 2006-2007 school year.
- LeEdna Bailey was employed as a diagnostician for the remainder of the school year.
