REGULAR BOARD MEETING OCTOBER 26, 2006
The Board of Trustees of the Overton Independent School District met for a special meeting on Thursday,
October 26, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. in the High School Library at 501 East Henderson, Overton, Rusk County, Texas. The meeting was called to order by President David Gravley with the following members present:
David Gravley - President
Todd Meadows – Vice – President
Scott Florey – Secretary
Jamie Thomas
Pam Raney
Scotty Moore
Stacey Cook
Others present were Mark Stretcher, Superintendent, Mike Craig of Eubanks, Harris, Roberts and Craig Architects and Bob Levine of WRL Construction. No board members were absent.
No one spoke during open forum.
Mike Craig made a presentation about the bids received and board members reviewed and discussed the bids received. Jamie Thomas made a motion and Todd Meadows seconded to approve the guaranteed minimum price to construct a new high school facility from WRL Construction. Unanimous.
President David Gravley took the board into executive session in accordance with Texas Code Section 551.074 to discuss personnel at 12:05 p.m.
The board reconvened into open session at 12:31 p.m.
With no further business, Scott Florey moved to adjourn the meeting and Jamie Thomas seconded. The motion passed unanimously and President David Gravley adjourned the meeting.
